Notifications

Post notifications let you email an update to members so they don’t miss it.

Sending a post email

When you create or edit a post, enable Notify Mesh Members to send it as an email. Usermesh only sends to members who:

• have confirmed their email address,
• are not globally unsubscribed,
• have post emails enabled, and
• are in the post’s visible segments (if you use segments).

The Notified button

After a post is emailed, the posts list shows a Notified button for that post. Select it to see the notification log, including the member name, email address, whether the email was sent, and the time it was sent.

Delivery tracking

Usermesh marks a notification as sent once the email is accepted for delivery. If delivery tracking is enabled, Usermesh also records whether the email was delivered. (This delivery status is tracked internally and isn’t currently shown on the Notified list.)

Delivery rules

• Members are only emailed the first time they receive a post.
• Editing a post won’t resend it to the same members.
• Members who are unsubscribed, unconfirmed, or have post emails turned off won’t appear in the notified list.
