How do I manage board content?

Boards are made up of cards placed into one of two columns. Every page in Usermesh is two columns, which either appear next to each other or below each other depending on the size of the screen used to view the board. Each card is of a specific type. We have the following card types, which control the kind of content that can be put into the card: - Text - Header - Link - YouTube - Image - Map - Latest Post List - Single Event - Upcoming Event List - File Once you've created a board, you can click on Edit Content to start adding cards: The build page will show you a preview of your board as you build. You can click on Add Card to add new items to the board. You can also hover or tap on any card on the page to get an Edit button. Underneath the build preview, you'll see a text list of all your cards. From here you can delete them in bulk using the delete function at the bottom. Depending on the card type, you will get different options for the card. Such as entering the text to display, choosing the link you want or uploading an image. Most cards also support styling options, such as background colour and text colour. These will overwrite whatever has been set at the page level. Many cards also support a size option, such as the size of the text font, the map, or the number of items to show on a post or event list. You can choose what column a card should go into when you edit it, or you can drag and drop them on the preview page:

What Board settings are available?

Within each Board you have a few additional settings which can be enabled or disabled. The first being the ability to display or hide a page links search bar. At the top of each Board you can have a search field which allows a member to search through the Board for a particular link. If you use your Boards to store a large number of links then scrolling down the page looking for it could be quite tiresome therefore a quick search box at the top makes life a bit easier for everyone. Our team of developers use this feature heavily. cmd+f jumps to the search box, type in the link they are looking for which takes them to their dev tool, they enter the number related to the link, press enter again and they haven't had to use their mouse once and they've launched GitHub and their pr is on the screen ready to go. Just. Like. Magic. We had a request recently to pop a quick "copy this Board URL" at the top of each Board from a client who shares their Boards with hundreds of Users and it's been super handy. This way your Members can send each other the URL when they need to (provided they have email access of course). You can easily hide these two boxes from your Board using the toggle to Hide them. Next up in Board settings you can choose which Board within your Mesh you want to be the 'Default Board'. This will be the Board that is displayed when your Mesh is accessed without a Board Short Code. So anyone accessing your Mesh URL will be taken directly to this Board and not any of your others. Obviously this can only be enabled on one of your Boards. If you wish to only share your Board with certain members you could enable Default Board and remove the Navigation bar and that way a Member will only be able to view the Short Code Board URL you provide them with. If you need to disable a Board for any reason but you don't want to delete it you can simply Disable it and re-enable it at a later date. That way you won't lose it's content, just the ability for any of your Members to access it.
